PROTECT The House is a practical and thought-provoking two-day workshop designed to help leaders strengthen their leadership through a deeper understanding of why risk starts and ends with people.
Through a people-centred approach, participants explore how risk influences leadership, culture, trust, decision-making, performance, and opportunity — often in ways that are hidden in plain sight.
Rather than approaching risk as something to avoid, fear, or simply manage through compliance, participants are introduced to a new perspective that helps them better understand themselves, others, and the environments they create.
This workshop serves as both a standalone leadership experience and the foundational step of the Risk Rebel Leadership Pathway.
Day 1 begins by meeting leaders where they are.
Together, we explore some of the common assumptions, beliefs, and experiences that shape how we perceive risk, risk management, and compliance.
From there, participants are introduced to the foundations of the PROTECT Framework and begin developing a deeper understanding of why risk starts and ends with people.
Explore why people sit at the centre of both risk and opportunity, and why leadership decisions influence far more than we often realise.
Develop a new perspective on risk that moves beyond compliance and control, helping leaders see risk as a source of insight, clarity, and opportunity.
Using the S4R methodology, gain a deeper understanding of how risk develops through predispositions, stressors, triggers, and onset, helping explain why people behave the way they do.
Begin exploring the role trust plays in leadership, culture, engagement, and performance, and why it becomes the bridge into everything that follows.
Throughout the day, participants engage in executive discussion, reflection exercises, practical examples, and peer learning designed to challenge perspectives and build awareness.
Day 2 builds on the foundations established on Day 1.
With trust acting as the bridge, participants explore how leadership influences the environments people operate within, the quality of collaboration that occurs, and the systems and tools organisations rely upon every day.
Understand how leaders influence the environments people work within, and why environment plays a critical role in behaviour, performance, and risk exposure.
Explore what genuine collaboration looks like in practice and why trust, shared ownership, and Safe Zones are essential to achieving stronger organisational outcomes.
Examine how systems, governance, processes, and technology can support people, leadership, and performance — while recognising where they can also create unintended risk.
Connect the elements of the PROTECT Framework and begin understanding how risk and opportunity work together to influence leadership, culture, resilience, innovation, and performance.
Participants leave with a stronger understanding of how risk can be used as a leadership lens to create better outcomes for people, teams, and organisations.
The Executive Edition of PROTECT The House® is designed for board members, executives, business owners, and senior leaders whose decisions influence people, culture, performance, and organisational outcomes.
This workshop is for leaders who are ready to rethink and strengthen their relationship with risk – exploring how a people-centred risk lens can improve leadership impact, alignment, decision-making, and organisational outcomes.
Because risk is not confined to a department, function, or framework.
It touches every decision, every priority, every relationship, and every outcome.
By the end of PROTECT The House, participants will:
Most importantly, participants will begin to see that risk is not simply something to avoid, minimise, or fear.
With the right mindset, tools, and leadership approach, risk can become a powerful source of insight, opportunity, innovation, and growth.
Because risk is not the enemy. It’s your edge.
